We just received the first production prototype run of our Aquifer Pipe!
These will be headed to multiple partners to be installed in the upcoming months! Join our newsletter to be a part of our goal
on the path to food security!
We are excited to announce that we kicked off our first strawberry field test with Harry’s Berries in Oxnard, California this month! Our goal is to find best practices using subsurface irrigation on each row of berries. The test will produce other measurable factors such as yield comparison, water use comparison, and data collection on water distribution plume base, both width and depth.
FIRST PRODUCTION Of THE AQUIFER PIPE! 11/25/2016
We are more than excited to announce that Drought Diet Products was awarded the coveted Closed Loop Foundation Grant! This means that
all of our products will be packaged and shipped using 100% recycled
plastic film. Closed Loop Foundation researches and incubates business models that build markets and roadmaps to improve the economic and environmental impact of the circular economy. The grant was fully underwritten by SC Johnson. We would like to thank both SC Johnson and Close Loop Foundation for this opportunity to add post consumer film as part the Aquifer Pipes DNA.
Why subsurface Irrigation? A bunch of reasons actually. First and foremost, sub irrigation eliminates surface evaporation resulting in less water use. No surface moisture also eliminates weed growth and weed seed germination. For tree orchards, the subsurface virtual water table encourages deep roots = less tree blow over damage.

These are truly very exciting times! We just received our first production samples of the Aquifer Pipe. Once these are tested and approved by our
mechanical engineers, we are signing off on production. We have teamed with BV plastics to assure only the finest quality plastics are used for a future of water conservation and food security.
